In March 1989, Mike entered the Army after successful completion of basic training and aviation mechanics training. Shortly after, he was sent overseas to Germany, where he served as a CH-47 Chinook helicopter repairman and crew member. Following that assignment, Mike was deployed to Operations Desert Shield and Storm, where his unit supported the 7th Army Corp invasion of Iraq. In 1992, Mike was honorably discharged and began his HVAC career shortly thereafter.
Mike started out as a residential and light commercial installer, but felt the urge to further expand and hone his skills, thus leading him to attend two separate trade schools specializing in troubleshooting. Mike pursued a career in industrial HVAC equipment, specifically in chillers, refrigeration, building automation and process cooling.
In 2005, Mike achieved his Texas HVAC contractors license and purchased his own HVAC service and replacement company with his father, Bill. Two years later, Mike completed his NATE certification and now specializes in helping homeowners find the right system for their homes and solve comfort issues other companies deem “unsolvable.”
Bill is a trained Electrical Engineer, holding both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in the field. After working for years in a California-based technology firm, Bill decided to revamp his career, gain more freedom and start his own business. Shortly thereafter, Bill and his wife, Marla, set their sights on Texas for its friendly business environment and even friendlier people. Before long, Bill and Mike founded their own HVAC company — Mike’s Air Conditioning and Heating.
After seeing the work of other companies, and resulting pains and frustrations of their clients, Bill made it his mission to provide outstanding service while helping homeowners make the right choice when selecting an HVAC company. The pair now has over 20 years experience providing quality service and equipment installments to homeowners, and has built tremendous customer loyalty and respect for always standing by their promises and quality standards. To this day, honesty and integrity are the basis of Mike’s Air business philosophy, and is the driving force of all client relations.
